Kim Kardashian divorce ends in settlement to avoid litigation

Once the breakup of the marriage between reality television celebrity Kim Kardashian and professional basketball player Kris Humphries became public, the media made a habit of reporting all of the latest happenings in the court proceedings. Most people in Pennsylvania will remember countless stories regarding the divorce, which is now finally coming to an end. However, before litigation could begin, the two sides reached an agreement to the terms of the divorce. Attorneys from both sides announced to the court judge in mid-April that they had reached a settlement.

Grandparents awarded child custody, father kidnaps the 2 boys

Few Pennsylvania readers would argue that the world seems a smaller place in 2013. Sometimes, a parent might try and use that to his or her advantage when confronting issues over child custody. We have written several articles over the past year about international custody disputes, and the attempts of parents in the United States to retrieve their children from abroad. Grandparents' rights law pushed by granddad denied custody of kids

Pennsylvania readers may be interested to learn that the head of a grandparents' rights association from a southern state has been using his personal experience as motivation to seek changes in child custody proceedings across the country. However, that all changed in 2010, when his state's Department of Social Services stepped in and removed the children, claiming that the man and his wife were too old and medically unfit to continue to raise them. The experience turned him into a spokesman for grandparents' rights.

Facebook photo nets criminal charges in child support rift

Some things are better left unsaid. And some photographs are best left untaken, or at least best left off Facebook. Pennsylvania readers may decide that is the lesson a 23-year-old man is learning after he was charged with three felony counts for failure to pay child support for his 3-year-old daughter. The criminal charges resulted after investigators found a potentially incriminating photo of the man on his Facebook page.
