Many Pennsylvania couples who have gone through or are considering going through the process of divorce may share the sentiment of wishing the process was shorter and less complicated. One international businessman has taken this wish and put it into action, creating a line of what are dubbed "Divorce Hotels" where a couple can check in married and check out divorced in the course of a weekend.
Now, it is said that he wants to bring this concept to the United States. While this may sound like a dream come true for some couples, many individuals are finding much to be wrong about this concept.
For many couples, a divorce is not something that can be fit into a spare weekend. There may be large amounts of assets involved that take time to sort through fairly. If there are children between the couple, child custody and child support agreements must be worked out and given an amount of consideration that supports the best interests of the children. Additionally, many couples find they are not on the most amicable of terms with their future former spouse and must deal with disagreements and disputes that are not always quickly or easily resolved.
Divorce can be a stressful experience for many couples in Pennsylvania, and many may agree that a divorcing couple shouldn't be pressed to work the entire process into only a few days. It is often found to be beneficial for couples to take time to consider all options, and fully discuss each aspect of their divorce to ensure each spouse is treated fairly. The concept of getting it over with quickly may be a dream, but may never be the most beneficial option for a couple wishing to have a settlement agreement they can rely on.
