It is common for married couples that are having relationship problems to separate from one another without actually filing a divorce. This is what Bruce Jenner and Kris Jenner had been doing to deal with their marital problems. Many in Pennsylvania may have been following the story and wondered when the couple would decide to legally end their marriage. Now, there will be no more waiting, since Kris Jenner has finally filed for divorce in court.

The couple has been married for 23 years, but they have been estranged from each other for a significant amount of time. Kris, 58, has cited irreconcilable differences in the divorce filing with the court. Bruce Jenner, 64, has taken his wife’s children from her previous marriage as his own. Additionally, Bruce has four children of his own from previous marriages.

However, unlike other divorces that tend to be contentious, the Jenners are still friends with one another. Also, they are both committed to making the family their top priorities. The former spouses are now both seeking joint custody of their only minor child. The couple had announced their separation in early October 2013.

Many in Pennsylvania may be watching to see what happens in this upcoming divorce between the two celebrity spouses. Despite the appearance of amicability, there still may be some disagreements regarding various aspects of the divorce. This may include property division, spousal support and many other items that will need to be addressed during the proceedings. Therefore, both sides would be wise to be ready with their overall legal strategies to better protect their rights.
